Previously occupied by Digital Equipment Corporation and Compaq Computer Corporation, 2,400 employees worked at the facility during three shifts daily. Parking was provided for over 2,000 vehicles. The facility is well supported by three local commuter routes (Routes 117, 27 and 62) that converge in Maynard. The local commuter routes provide convenient connections to the regional highway network serving eastern and central Massachusetts. Driving times to regional highways are shown below.

An MBTA Commuter Rail Station is located 3.15 miles northeast of the location. It is on the Fitchburg line and provides commuter rail transportation to North Station in Boston. During peak travel times, trains run every 35 minutes. The final train departs North Station at 12:45 AM. A shuttle service is available from the Commuter Rail Station and the Fine Arts Center in downtown Maynard. Travel time to Boston via Commuter Rail is 45 minutes.

The unique location of the property creates a reverse commute during peak hours of traffic congestion. In the morning and evening employees encounter minimal traffic to and from the site and the regional highway access points.
